More Xbox games get automatic frame rate boosts
Microsoft is enabling its Xbox FPS Boost mode in 74 other games today, bringing the total to 97 games. Titles that receive an FPS boost include Assassin's Creed Unity, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Wasteland 3 and Far Cry 5 that all go to 60 frames per second. You can find the full list on the Microsoft website.
The FPS Boost feature for the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles is designed to make current games run better. Microsoft has improved frame rates with some backward compatible games, but FPS Boost optimizes older games without requiring developer changes.
The updates come just weeks after Microsoft also added FPS Boost mode to 13 EA games, with 12 of them adding support for up to 120 frames per second. Microsoft also added FPS Boost to a number of Bethesda games in March. These two previous additions brought the total to 23 games in total with FPS Boost, but today Microsoft's updates reach 97 games.
