Lenovo announces $679 13-inch Android tablet that acts as a portable screen

Lenovo has announced the new Yoga Tab 13 at $679, which is a global version of the Yoga Pad Pro launched in China earlier this year. The tablet can act as an external display for a laptop (or Nintendo Switch or other HDMI device), thanks to its built-in Micro HDMI port. And with the stainless steel kickstand that can rotate 180 degrees from the back of the device, you can place it or hang it on the wall.

The Tab 13 was announced alongside a slew of other Android tablets that Lenovo expects to launch later this summer, including the smaller Yoga Tab 11, the Tab P11 Plus with a 2000 x 1200 screen, and the trending Tab M7 and Tab M8. for the budget. (The latter will not be sold in the United States.)

The Tab 13 is compatible with Lenovo's Precision Pen 2, which means you can draw or take notes while it's supported. It includes an 8MP camera (for smarter login, per Lenovo) with reduced background noise for video calls. Lenovo claims that you will get up to 12 hours of battery life and that its 1080p screen can reach 400 nits.

All new tablets support the new GOOGLE entertainment space

All new tablets support Google's new entertainment space, which allows users to access videos, books, and games from several different apps in one hub.

Lenovo has a proven track record with Android devices that focus on entertainment. The latest Tab P11 Pro, which includes an OLED display and Dolby Atmos speakers, proved to be an excellent machine for watching movies in our testing, although it wasn't our favorite productivity device.
