Impressive update, if frequent
The OnePlus 8T, the latest device from the Chinese phone manufacturer, is now on sale in the US. You can get it unlocked directly from OnePlus or from third-party retailers like Amazon for $ 749. The T-Mobile version is available at the same price, but it comes with an additional IP68 rating for dust and water resistance that is not available on the unlocked model.
Meanwhile, if you are in Europe, the phone will go on sale earlier this week on October 20. While the US has the only variant with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, Europe has two variants: one with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage at 599 EUR / 549 GBP and the other. 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for 699 € / 649 €.
If you missed our review from last week, or just need to catch up, the OnePlus 8T is a solid, if incremental, update to the OnePlus 8 released earlier this year. The big new feature is the 65W fast charging, which means that the phone can be charged halfway in less than fifteen minutes or it can be changed completely in just over half an hour. Other than that, it has a 120Hz display, fast performance and two more cameras than it knows what to do.
You'll have to wait a little longer to get the latest OnePlus earbuds, the $ 49.99 OnePlus Buds Z, which won't go on sale until November 2 in the US.
